Frankfurt is full of cafés and I always enjoy trying out new places. Whether you want to enjoy your own company for a couple of hours or catch up with friends over coffee, here are a few cafés I’d recommend visiting in Frankfurt:
Das Herz von Frankfurt
Located near Römer, Das Herz von Frankfurt is a chic cafe with a forest themed interior -look at the ceiling when you go in! Small decorative touches and Scandinavian style furniture make a comfy atmosphere for enjoying food and drinks.
Chinaski Tagesbar
I thought Chinaski was a bar that you go to in the evenings, but turns out it’s a day cafe too. The staff are really friendly and the brunch menu is delicious. I go for the avocado and poached eggs which comes with a homemade tomato sauce – lecker!
Bohnerie
Located near Eschenheimer Tor, Bohnerie has a homely feel; the winding staircase and swinging chair add to its pleasant atmosphere, and the staff are really friendly. You could spend an afternoon here with your laptop or of course drop by for coffee and cake with friends.
Picknick
There’s actually two Picknick cafes but I’ve visited the one in Bornheim and it’s pretty nice! Loads of food options on the menu and numerous basket style lampshades hanging from the ceiling. It’s quite big so there’s plenty of seating, both inside and outside.
Talbub
I stumbled across cafe Talbub cafe during one of the rare times I was in Gallus, and I would definitely go back. A cute café with pleasant interior and modern variations of traditional regional food to try whilst enjoying your time in Hessen.
